The Killarney Parent Council (KPC) is our school advisory council that plays a very active role in representing all the voices in our school community.  We plan, organize and fund initiatives that best support and meet the needs of our staff and students here at Killarney School.

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council.  Every family who has a child attending Killarney School is automatically part of the Killarney Parent Council.  The Council has an executive advisory board with many opportunities to get involved. There are a variety of short-term volunteer opportunities throughout the year as well.

KPC runs one annual fundraiser each year and parents are asked to make a financial donation directly to the Killarney Parent Fundraising Society. These funds support and enrich the student experience at Killarney School through a variety of initiatives such as field trips, teacher training and support, artists-in-residence, school beautification, social events and technology upgrades. This is the only fundraising campaign run by the KPC each year and 100% of donations go directly to the school and its initiatives.

The Council meets monthly and all parents are welcome to attend these meetings and hear updates on school plans, events and directions. Each meeting has an update from the school administration, a presentation by selected teachers and a “Montessori Moment." All meetings are currently held online via MS Teams at 6:30pm.
