We would love to have you at our school!

To register a student please follow the Registration instructions outlined on the CBE website.

Registration at Calgary Board of Education (CBE) schools is not determined on a first come, first served basis. Registration and admission to schools in CBE is governed by the Education Act and Administrative Regulation 6090 | Child and Student Registration and Admission.

AM/PM Draw

When registering for Kindergarten, families are welcome to indicate their preference for a morning or afternoon class placement. Class placement is not based on a first come first serve basis. We do what we can to accommodate preferences but if the classes are unbalanced, it is not always possible. Selecting a preference for AM or PM does not guarantee you a spot at that time.

In the event that we are not able to accommodate all the requests for either the morning or afternoon classes, a draw will be held. The draw will include the names of all the registered students we are not able to accommodate for their class preference. For example, if we have too many requests for AM placement all the students that have requested AM will be in the draw to determine who will be placed in the PM classes.

Rules of the Draw (Example: if AM requests are more than we can accommodate)

Only students who have selected AM as their preference are in the draw.

Drawn names will move from the morning to the afternoon.

If families do not get their preferred time and wish to have their name added to a wait list can email a request to killarney@cbe.ab.ca.
