SC Casino May 23-24 – Volunteer Sign Up!
DATES: Friday May 23rd and Saturday May 24th
LOCATION: Elbow River Casino
Parents, Grandparents, and Supporters — We Need You! Thank you in advance for volunteering your time! We’re thrilled to share that we’ve secured a Casino Fundraiser this spring — and it’s a big deal!
These exciting 2-day events are a major source of funding for our Parent Council, raising $60,000– over $80,000 each time. That breaks down to an incredible over $2,000 per volunteer shift — all going directly to support our students, teachers, and school community.
No experience needed! Professional casino advisors will be on-site to walk us through everything, so you’ll be in great hands. Come for the cause. Stay for the snacks! Volunteers are treated to great food, snacks, and beverages throughout your shift — so you’ll be well taken care of while making a big difference. Got extra time? You’re welcome to sign up for both days! (Just note: casino regulations require volunteers to work the same role on both days.) You can choose from three available shifts each day:
• Day Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Evening Shift: 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
• Countroom Shift: 11:00 PM – 3:30 AM
KSC Updates: Thank you to everyone who came to our annual KSC movie night! It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and create such great memories with you all!
The next Killarney School Council meeting will be held May 20th at 6:30pm online. Please join us as we talk about things going on around in the school, what the last couple months will look like and hear more about available board positions. Stay tuned in Lea’s updates for the link.
We continue our search for a new Vice Chair and Events Chair next year. Please reach out to Joanna or Clancy if you are interested or looking for more information about the roles. These are crucial positions that our board will need to fill in order to create another fun and successful school year.
