Upcoming Conferences March 20 & 21
With labour action by CUPE Local 40 members limiting access to CBE schools after hours, the decision has been made by the CBE to move March conferences online. Parent-TeacherStudent Conferences will be held online Thursday March 20th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and Friday March 21st from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Each conference will be 15 minutes in length.
Mrs. Squire will have conferences Thursday March 20th from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm and Friday March 21st from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Room 8 will STILL have school on Thursday March 20th with a substitute teacher.
The conference booking site is open via MyCBE. Once you have booked your conferences you will receive an email with your TEAMS link to attend your conference at your chosen time.
Please do not miss your chosen conference time as it will be challenging to re-book on the 20th or the 21st.
Healthy Hunger
This is a friendly reminder to place your order for next week's Fun Lunch. All orders must be in before midnight on Friday, March 14. Fun Lunch on Wednesday, March 19 will be Opa! Please go to www.healthyhunger.ca to place your order.
Survey Season!
Allowing parents and students a voice in education is extremely important to the CBE, and for our school in planning the next school year. Currently students in grades 4-6 are taking part in a couple of different surveys. One is the CBE Student Survey and another is the Alberta Education Assurance Survey. Both provide us with excellent data to move forward and plan in the best interest of all students.
Parents of Grade 4 students will have also received an email from the CBE inviting you to take part in this survey as well. I encourage you to do so to ensure your voice is heard

b. Share your perspectives through an online survey open until March 31.

Council Meeting Save the date! Our March Killarney School Council meeting will be held online Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 6:30pm. Tune in to learn more about what is going on around the school and have your voice heard.
Events Chair Needed
Thank you, Killarney! The council has secured a new Casino Chair for next year. We are now looking for someone to take on the very rewarding role of Events Chair This is a big role, helping the council put on 4 plus events throughout the year. Including, but not limited to, the welcome back event, the Halloween family party, the KSC movie night and grade 6 graduation. Volunteer hours vary throughout the year. This role is very important to our school, it brings fun and school spirit to our school community. This role can be co-chaired and could also work with an events committee to support all our events throughout the school year.
If you are interested in this role, or would like more information please contact Joanna at chair@killarneyschoolcouncil.ca
