Pink Shirt Day On February 26, schools across Canada will be celebrating Pink Shirt Day, a powerful movement promoting kindness, inclusion, and anti-bullying awareness. Wearing pink on this day is a simple yet meaningful way to show support for those who have been affected by bullying and to take a stand for respect and empathy. Encourage your child to wear pink and engage in conversations about kindness, acceptance, and standing up for others. Small acts of compassion can create big change.
Healthy Hunger This month's Fun Lunch will be on Wednesday February, 26th 2025 featuring Tim Hortons Please place your order by February, 21st and consider signing up to volunteer passing out lunches if available.
Casino Council Position The Killarney School Council is looking for someone to fill our Casino position, as our current member, Remi Loyer, will be graduating this June. Take this opportunity to shadow him during this casino in May and learn the ropes from the best! This council position takes 1 to 2 hours of prep and paperwork in the months leading up to the casino and a few hours for a few weeks before the casino, trying to get volunteers together. No previous casino experience necessary. We work with a casino advisor to help us manage the event, this role is focused on securing the volunteers for the two day event. Volunteering during the actual casino is encouraged but not required. This position carries the lightest load on the council with the biggest rewards, funds for our school!!
